So many clients have neck tension and pain, yet most therapists do not have a thorough knowledge of the anatomy and specific techniques for all the major muscles and ligaments here - especially in the posterior neck.  Enjoy this one-day thoroughly getting this super-important anatomy down and learning techniques that will introduce a graceful relationship between the neck, head, mind and body.

Prior to this class please review the origins, insertions, and actions of levator scapula, trapezius, semispinalis capitis, rotatores, the intertransverse and nuchal ligaments, obliquus capitis inferior and superior, rectus capitis posterior major and minor, scalenes, and sternocleidomastoid.   If you don’t have it yet, The Deep Massage Book by David Lauterstein is a recommended resource for this class, and a handout will be provided.

This one-day workshop can be taken as a prelude to the three-day Deep Massage intensive or as a stand-alone class.
